Hello Tubman Village,
My name is Ryan Woodard and I am honored that the Harriet Tubman Village Charter School Board of Education has appointed me as the new CEO/Principal. I welcome the opportunity to serve the Harriet Tubman learning and teaching community and look forward to working with the dynamic staff, dedicated parents and involved community members. Most of all, I look forward to working with our students and partnering with you to strive for excellence within our school.
I come to this position with several years of experience as an Executive Director and Principal at both charter and traditional TK- 12 schools. Prior to my service as an administrator, I served as a special education classroom teacher for six years years in the elementary and secondary setting.
I have lived in San Diego area for the past 13 years. My wife Whitney, is also in education and serves as a high school counselor. I have two children named Bryce (4) and Waverly (2). We are always on the go and are exposing them to everything that beautiful San Diego has to offer.
