Counselor: Ms. Bush

Hi! My name is Adriana Bush and I’m incredibly honored and excited to be working in my community with students, parents, and staff members at Harriet Tubman Village Charter School.  I’ve worked in education over the past seven years in the Sweetwater Union High School District where I began my career as the Head Track and Field Coach at Granger Junior High School in 2009 and ended in the district as a substitute school counselor and college prep instructor. It was through my many job titles in education that I realized my passion for supporting and helping students, not just academically, but socially, emotionally and in regards to helping them find their passions and future career paths. I was raised by a “village” and experienced firsthand the benefits and importance of being surrounded by one as a youth, which is why I love being a part of the “village” here at Tubman where we are able to pour into every individual student.

I’m a San Diego native and I graduated from SDSU with my Bachelor’s Degrees in Journalism and History. I also have my Masters and credential in Educational Counseling from National University. When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling and staying fit. I love to run, lift weights and I’m a former women’s professional football player.
