Meet The Counselor
Counselor Mission Statement:
As the School Counselor of Harriet Tubman Village Charter School, it is my mission to provide equitable access to intentional, individualized, evidenced-based, data informed activities and interventions that remove academic, career and social/emotional barriers, helping all students develop a passion for learning and develop their capacity to overcome real-world challenges to be successful leaders.
About me: Hello, I am so excited to be joining the Tiger family! I am starting off my 3rd year as a school counselor and my 10th year in education. I am from San Diego and attended college in Houston and obtained my masters from Azusa Pacific University. I have 2 daughters and 1 bonus son, who lives in North Carolina. I am so very excited to work with you and your child(ren) this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns; I am here to help and if I am unable to, I will happily provide outside resources. With your support, I am confident we will have a great year with your child(ren) that is filled with learning, laughter and lots of individual growth.
