We are celebrating the legacy of our namesake Harriet Tubman on Friday! All guardians are invited to the opening assembly at 8:30. We will start the celebration with guest speakers from Black Storytellers of San Diego who will present a special Harriet Tubman themed tale for our students and families. Then classes will embark on an engaging mock, interactive Underground Railroad experience. Classrooms will be themed as various stops slaves made with Harriet Tubman during their escape to freedom. This annual event is our favorite here at Tubman and generally attracts local news channels. Don't miss this incredible experience.
