Update on Water Testing by SDUSD

Notice on Bullying and Harassment

As we enter into the last few weeks of school, and with the excitement of summer vacation just around the corner, we want to remind the school community that all school rules and policies still apply as we work together to provide a safe and positive school environment. We are particularly concerned about a recent increase in negative behavior and treatment of fellow students. In order to address this situation, we had a special assembly for 4th through 8th graders on May 5 reviewing Tubman’s policies regarding nondiscrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying. Science Fair Success!

!! Parent Survey !! (English, Spanish, Somali)

The Harriet Tubman Village Charter School is in the process of evaluating the progress made on the current LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan and creating a new action plan for the following 3-5 years. It is important for the School to gather parent and community input as a means to evaluate the effectiveness of our current programs and plan, and set School goals and a direction for student learning and student success in future years. The results of this survey will have a significant impact on budget decisions made regarding allocating the revenues received from the state for 2017-18 and beyond. We thank you in advance for taking your time to provide input in several different areas. Click on the link to take the survey on line. If you prefer, you may download and print a copy. Print copies are also available in the school in English, Spanish and Somali. Your input is vital. This survey may only be taken once per family.

Tubman Wins the Fab Lab Schools Grant!

Harriet Tubman Village Charter School is thrilled to announce that our school has been named one of five finalists that won a $100,000 grant for a new STEM lab! We thank the Northrop Grumman Corporation Fab School Labs for this amazing opportunity. We are also very thankful to our students, families, staff, friends, and everyone else who voted for us. We couldn’t have done it without all of your support. The new state of the art STEM lab will provide Tubman students so many opportunities for scientific and technological innovations, as well as prepare them for higher levels of education.
