2014-2015 School Motto - TIGER PRIDE!
The Governance Board would like to introduce our new school motto for the 2014-2015 school year. TIGER PRIDE! We would like our students, parents and stakeholders to be proud to be a part of this amazing village and to be a Tubman Tiger. We believe the notion of Tiger Pride will assist our Village in the rebuilding process by promoting unity and pride for the school we all love. We have placed our new motto on the outside building by the entry gate and will be getting new shirts to express this new motto as well. These shirts will be given to exceptional Tubman Tigers as recognition for outstanding achievements. We are very excited for this new school year and hope you are too.
Summer Projects
While you have been enjoying your Summer, the Governance Board and staff have been working diligently to give Tubman a fresh and exciting new look. Many of the common areas have been painted, new color schemes are throughout the buildings and the auditorium has gotten an overhaul. We are also in the process of doing some gardening projects on the East side of the building and in the Kinder area. We are very excited to present this "reborn and refreshed" Tubman to you at the Welcome back Barbeque.
New Food Service!
This year Tubman is proud to announce that we will be going back to the District for food service. With this change we will be able to offer ALL students at Tubman FREE breakfast, lunch and supper every day. We are very excited about this change and anticipate bring healthy choices to our students to help them get the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.
School Nurse
The Governance Board is very pleased to announce the addition of a part time school nurse this year. We recognize that our students need a qualified medical professional on occasion while at school and we have found the resources to provide it. We are extremely excited to be offering this service to our Tubman tigers this year.

Tubman's Search for New Principal
The PDC conducted their first round of Principal candidate interviews yesterday 7/21. The two candidates that interviewed were very good and the committee did a great job with their panel of questions, answers and feedback. The committee has selected Ms. Glenda York to come for a second round of interviews. The next round of interviews will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 starting at 3:30 p.m. in the library. The top candidate from this interview session will be asked back for a second interview by the committee. If you are interested in being part of the process, please plan to attend.
