Tubman: A global village that empowers heads, hearts, and hands to foster FREEDOM through education.
Harriet Tubman Village Charter School was one of 51 schools selected statewide to participate in the California GEAR UP grant program. GEAR UP, which stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs, supports staff development to increase instructional skills and student achievement at the middle school level. Each participating school will receive $10,000 per year for six years.
