Under a new law known as SB 277, beginning January 1, 2016 exemptions based on personal beliefs will no longer be an option for the vaccines that are currently required for entry into child care or school in California. Most families will not be affected by the new law because their children have received all required vaccinations.

acquaint ourselves with our new surroundings and team, it is becoming very clear that at every level, Harriet

Harriet Tubman Village Charter School (“HTVCS”) is fortunate to have such amazing educators,
parents, and students participating in our everyday learning environment and contributing to the
ongoing success of our School. Together, over the years, we have nurtured a thriving program of
educational excellence and innovation. We are so proud of what we have accomplished in spite
of some bumps and rough spots along the way.
It is my duty to inform you that Dr. Barney Wilson and Mr. Pedro Fuentez are no longer with us
as administrative leaders. The HTVCS Board also recognizes its responsibility in finding a
successor Principal/CEO and implementing a sound transition plan for the remainder of this
school year. The Board has taken action to hire an exceptional leadership team which will do just
