Hi!
My name is Michelle Mead. I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year! I know that this is not a typical school year, but I know we will make it a great one!

A little about me:
I am a graduate of SDSU, where I earned my BA in Liberal Studies as well as my teaching credential and my Masters  in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching at Tubman since 2007. I truly love the school and all of our families.

On a personal note, I grew up in Seattle and moved to San Diego in 2000. I have two boys of my own that I enjoy spending most of my spare time with. Weekends are spent enjoying all San Diego has to offer, everything from playing at the beach to camping in the desert.

If you have any questions or concerns at any time, please feel free to reach out to me through email (mmead@tubmancharter.org)  or class dojo.

Personal Mission Statement:
As a teacher, I strive to foster the genius in every child through the development of a safe and nurturing environment that allows students to take risks, make mistakes, and build on their strengths.
