This is my fifth year here at Tubman as the middle school Language Arts teacher. I truly enjoy working with all of the students at the school. I love energy and creativity they bring to the classroom.

A bit about me: I grew up in Seattle, but moved to San Diego in 2000. I originally came to visit for the summer and decided to stay. I transfered colleges to SDSU, where I recieved my BA in Liberal Studies, as well as my teaching credential. Before working at Tubman, I spent two years working with fourth graders at Central Elementary as a literacy intervention teacher. I also spent a year working with individual students at Hoover High to help improve literacy skills. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and two little boys.
